Description
The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2026. We seek candidates in modern software engineering, especially at the intersection of AI and software engineering, including AI-enabled development, automated SE, software security, QA/testing, architecture, formal methods, and human factors research. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing new offerings, advising students, and establishing an externally funded research program. A PhD in CS or a related field is required. Candidates should show strong research and teaching potential and a commitment to diversity and Loyola’s Jesuit mission. Requirements
The candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Candidates for the position must demonstrate clear potential for excellence in research and teaching, obtaining external funding, and student mentorship. The candidate must be willing to support the mission of Loyola University Chicago and the goals of a Jesuit, Catholic education.
