Join us for this incredible opportunity as the Assistant Spa Manager at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas!

You will be a key leader in our stunning desert oasis, dedicated to shaping the exceptional guest experience that defines our luxury resort. You will work closely with the Spa Director to ensure the seamless and efficient daily operation of our world-class sanctuary of wellness.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $77,000. This is the pay range for this position that Grand Hyatt Resort and Villas reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Core Responsibilities

The Assistant Spa Manager focuses on operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

• Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the spa team (therapists, aestheticians, receptionists), managing scheduling, reservations, and ensuring five-star standards of facility cleanliness and functionality.
• Guest Experience: Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional, personalized guest service. Proactively interact with guests to obtain feedback, resolve issues, and ensure a memorable experience.
• Team Development: Lead, train, and motivate the team, providing coaching and support. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating staff performance.
• Financial & Retail: Support budget management, monitor expenses, and maximize revenue through strategic retail sales and membership programs. Oversee retail inventory, vendor relations, and effective product displays.
• Wellness Programming: Oversee and coordinate guest wellness offerings, ensuring the facility remains at the forefront of the luxury spa industry.
• Compliance: Maintain and monitor strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.

The Assistant Spa Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the entire Spa function. This may include retail, a full-service salon as well as massage therapy and body treatment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a luxury spa or related hospitality environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for spa, wellness, and holistic modalities.
• Proven track record in increasing sales, elevating guest service, and training teams.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
