About the role

As an Automation Tester, you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust automation strategies that ensure high-quality software delivery. You will be a valued member of our Quality Engineering team, collaborating closely with developers, DevOps and product stakeholders to drive test automation excellence across web and API platforms.

In this role, you will:

• Define and execute end-to-end automation strategies for functional, regression, smoke, and E2E testing.
• Design and develop modular Playwright frameworks in TypeScript/JavaScript, enabling reusable components and cross-browser coverage.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to support continuous delivery.
• Manage AWS-based test infrastructure, leveraging Docker for consistent execution and monitoring via CloudWatch.
• Lead test execution, monitor reliability, and implement strategies for flaky test detection and remediation.
• Collaborate with developers to embed shift-left practices, including API contract validation and security/performance checks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide quality insights to leadership for go/no-go decisions.

What you need to have to be considered

• Strong expertise in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) for UI and API automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and pipeline optimization.
• Proficiency in AWS services (EC2/EKS/ECS, S3, CloudWatch) and Docker-based execution.
• Solid understanding of REST API testing, JSON schema validation, and test data strategies.
• Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and ability to lead end-to-end automation initiatives.

These will help you stand out

• Exposure to performance testing tools (k6/JMeter) and security basics (OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with contract testing (Pact) and visual regression tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and monorepo strategies.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive best practices in automation and quality engineering.
