We have a fantastic opportunity for an Average Adjuster in London

The Average Adjuster is a specialist technical role, supporting shipowners, insurers and brokers worldwide in the resolution of marine insurance claims. You'll be the trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex claims processes, interpreting policy wordings, and calculating policy liabilities. Each day brings a new challenge: analysing intricate facts, adjusting claims to reach correct and equitable settlements using knowledge of relevant insurance law and adjusting practice and collaborating with legal and industry experts to identify and resolve disputes should they arise. The role demands both analytical rigour and empathy-clear communication reassures clients, while independent judgment ensures fair outcomes.

The skills you will have when you apply:

• Experience in marine claims adjusting: Prior experience in marine insurance, claims handling, or average adjusting is essential.
• Excellent communication skills: You'll liaise with shipowners, insurers, brokers, and legal professionals. You'll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all parties.
• Analytical and detail-oriented: You'll interpret policy wordings, calculate claims, and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
• Conscientious and hard working: You strive for high standards and are adaptable during periods of high claim volumes.
