As a Packaging Team Leader, you'll lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment where safety, collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
We operate Guinness packaging facilities in Belfast and Runcorn, producing canned, bottled and kegged products for the UK, Ireland and export markets. Significant investment is underway at both sites, creating an exciting period of growth and development.
Based at our Runcorn site, you'll work within a large-scale, 24/7 operation supported by four rotational crews. With high production volumes and ongoing investment, this is a dynamic and ambitious environment where strong leadership makes a real difference.
About this role
As a Packaging Team Leader, you'll take responsibility for line performance, safety and team engagement on shift. Spending most of your time on the shop floor, you'll lead day-to-day operations in a 24/7 operational environment, ensuring high-quality products are delivered safely and in line with plan. With anticipated growth across categories, you'll play an important role in delivering our liquid packaging strategy, helping the team adapt to change and implement improvements that strengthen performance over time.
Key responsibilities include interpreting production schedules and effectively deploying people, plant and materials to achieve targets. You'll lead site briefings, start-of-shift meetings and regular performance reviews, encouraging open participation and constructive feedback from team members and support functions.
You'll also have opportunities to further develop your leadership capability within a global supply organisation committed to continuous learning and growth.
To be successful, you will:
- Bring operational leadership experience within a manufacturing or production setting
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for developing and supporting others
- Have knowledge of continuous improvement and lean principles
