About the Role

We're looking for an outstanding Business Development Manager to join our Queensland Field Sales team, taking ownership of a high-performing territory across the Whitsundays. This is a 12-month parental leave cover opportunity, offering the chance to step into an established portfolio within one of Australia's most iconic hospitality regions.
You'll manage a diverse mix of multi-site retail groups and vibrant on-premise venues, inheriting strong existing partnerships while identifying new opportunities for growth. With tourism, seasonality and premium experiences shaping this market, this is a territory that rewards energy, commercial thinking and strong local relationships.
This is an opportunity to make real impact, build your profile and gain exposure within a world-class commercial organisation.
What does success look like?
As our Business Development Manager, you will:
- Build genuine, long-term partnerships with customers across the Whitsundays
- Identify growth opportunities and convert them into tangible commercial wins
- Execute regional sales plans with pace, precision and creativity
- Use data and insights to influence ranging, promotions and visibility
- Balance operational excellence with entrepreneurial flair
- Represent Diageo's premium portfolio with credibility and confidence
- You'll be empowered to run your territory like your own business - with the backing of iconic brands and a high-performing team behind you.
So, what about you?
You're commercially sharp, socially confident and thrive on winning in fast-paced environments. You know that strong relationships are the foundation of every great deal - and you bring energy and authenticity to every interaction.
You likely bring:
- Experience growing existing accounts while driving new business
- A passion for hospitality, retail or the broader on-premise industry
- Confidence in using data to uncover insights and influence decisions
- A proven track record of identifying and converting commercial opportunities
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise for impact
- A resilient, ambitious mindset with a genuine customer-first approach
- Most importantly, you bring hunger - to grow your territory, your relationships and your career.
