OFFICE LOCATIONS: Irving, TX office
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To analyze mid- and higher-level general liability claims to determine benefits due; to ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and industry best practices; and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Independently manages mid‑level general liability claims from initial evaluation through resolution, including liability assessment, reserve setting, payment authorization, and settlement negotiation within assigned authority.
- Evaluates coverage, determines benefits due, and executes claim action plans in accordance with client contracts, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines.
- Oversees subrogation efforts by identifying recovery opportunities and negotiating favorable outcomes.
- Maintains clear, consistent communication with claimants and clients to provide status updates, explain claim decisions, and support timely resolution.
- Ensures claim files are accurately documented, properly coded, and compliant with quality and audit standards.
- May handle complex medical‑only claims involving utilization review recommendations, state and physician filings, and treatment determinations while maintaining strong professional client relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing: Four (4) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
- General Liability and Bodily injury experience preferred.
Licensing: TX/FL preferred.
Jurisdiction Knowledge: 18 states within the eastern and south eastern region.
