About Us
Diageo's operation in Budapest has been established for more than 15 years. During this time it has grown to have an employee base of more than 1000 people (around one third of all Finance people in Diageo) providing services relating to the End to End Commercial, Financial Controlling (including financial controlling for Supply) and Business Performance Management processes.
As part of Global Supply Chain and Procurement department (GSC&P) provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency. Tower responsibilities also include ensuring there is a true and fair representation of business performance at the cut-off point for the period and transparency on financials for Business Performance Management.
About the Role
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to provide Costing support for both the annual SKU reset and ongoing brand change/innovation projects from indicative costings through to final product costing, applying a high attention to detail to ensure the integrity of costing data and the accuracy of the product cost.
Top Accountabilities
- Provision of indicative costings - supporting project managers with indicative costings projects, ensuring accurate calculation of product costs, overheads, depreciation etc. for gatekeeper decision making purposes.
- New SKU Costing - Following gate sign-off, costing the product in SAP, liaising with the brand change community and BTP teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the SKU cost in SAP and finance Costing tracker.
- Run monthly ML closing cycle
- Support the annual SKU cost reset process by ensuring the process is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Standardisation / Simplification - in collaboration with other costing colleagues, simplifying and standardising costing processes into a single way of Costing.
About You
- University or College degree in Economics or Finance and Accounting
- Costing and/or Financial Planning & Analysis, and/or Financial Controlling experience is advantage
- 3-4 years experience in relevant area
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Fluent English knowledge
