Our client is a top tier mid market private equity firm that is looking to hire a Data and Analytics professional into its high performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established investor and work closely with senior management to support portfolio companies in unlocking the full value of their data. The successful candidate will bring experience in interpreting and presenting data driven insights, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and delivering clear and impactful visual analysis. They will apply strong strategic and commercial thinking across a broad range of growth initiatives, identifying and addressing both commercial and operational opportunities across the portfolio. What the job involves
- Conduct complex data analysis to extract, interpret, and present insights that support strategic decision making
- Lead and contribute to projects across pricing reviews, competitor analysis, market and industry trend assessments, international expansion initiatives, efficiency improvement programmes, and organisational redesign efforts
- Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand commercial opportunities and data requirements, translating these into actionable recommendations and clear, compelling data visualisations
- Design, build, and maintain high quality reports and dashboards, primarily using Power BI, to communicate data driven insights effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
- A degree in a technical or quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Several years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a closely related role
- Strong analytical capability, with experience in data wrangling, data interpretation, statistical analysis, and deriving meaningful insights
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analysis, along with familiarity with SQL
- Experience designing, building, and monitoring data pipelines and workflow orchestration
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders
- Experience building reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Understanding of data modelling principles and best practices
- Background in commercial consulting or client facing environments, with strong problem solving skills and a collaborative approach
