- Create Revenue Cycle data extracts - typically encompassing patient demographic information, encounter details, DRGs, procedures, diagnoses, charges, and transaction (payment and adjustment) details
- Loading/Extracting data from databases
- Extracts are developed using SQL, retrieving data from Microsoft SQL or Snowflake tables
- Import data from flat or report files, employing custom programs to merge the data
- Manage secure file transfers (bi-directional SFTP and internal network) and ensure timely delivery through automated utilities integrated with Windows Services
- Develop and maintain custom VB.NET applications and utilities using Microsoft Visual Studio, including logging mechanisms via standard DLLs and SQL tables
- Support and enhance internally developed web applications; maintain version control using SourceGear Vault
- Perform data format conversions (e.g., 835 Remits, 837 Claims, PDF, XML, JSON) and manage data warehouses for efficient storage and retrieval
- Create and consume RESTful APIs and SOAP services, handle HTTP requests/responses, and implement secure authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and recover jobs, including vendor coordination for issue resolution; document specifications and recovery processes
- Conduct code reviews, process efficiency assessments, and participate in project meetings and effort estimations
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and organizational policies; collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet SQL Server and Snowflake requirements
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical system issues and deliver knowledge transfer through documentation and peer training
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience - custom development in healthcare
- Multiyear programming experience in classroom or business setting in programming languages such as .Net, TCL, JavaScript, Java, or Python
- Solid knowledge of data formats like XML, JSON, CSV etc.
- Familiarity with Revenue Cycle processes
- Basic familiarity with EHR and ERP systems including workflows and business processes
- Demonstrate solid understanding of technical and business requirements in healthcare environments
- Deep understanding of .Net syntax, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and .NET libraries
- .Net using Microsoft Visual Studio
- MS SQL Developer and Report Writer
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proven willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic EHR environment
- Proven willingness to work in US business hours
- Proven willing and able to support multiple healthcare systems across three different time zones in the US.
- Proven dedicated, self-motivated, flexible, and self-directed with a strong work ethic.
- Proven willingness and ability to provide 24x7 on-call support as part of an on-call rotation
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern .NET features like asynchronous programming (async/await) and LINQ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of data formats like XML, JSON, CSV etc.
- Knowledge of APIs, web services, and integration tools
- Understanding of cloud architecture and SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with programming languages API or scripting languages - Java, C++, .Net, Python, JavaScript, etc
- VB.Net using Microsoft Visual Studio
- Proven to design and manage SSIS packages for automated data workflows
