THE ROLE
The Director of Finance serves as the property's Chief Financial Officer , providing strategic financial leadership across hotel. As a member of the Hotel Leadership Committee, this role reports directly to the General Manager and maintains direct engagement with Ownership, Asset Management, and Hyatt Corporate leadership.
This position leads all accounting, financial planning, reporting, controls, and compliance activities while acting as a trusted business partner to hotel leadership, Retail and Residence business partners. The Director of Finance balances financial discipline with a hospitality mindset, recognizing that Finance plays a meaningful role in guest satisfaction, retail and resident relationships, and owner confidence .
CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Financial Leadership & Asset Stewardship
- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting
- Provide leadership for the property's residential and retail financial components, including billing accuracy, owner reporting, and coordination with Corporate and Ownership
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and clear variance analysis
- Support the development and final review of capital expenditures, annual business plans, monthly forecasts and long-range strategies
Ownership, Corporate & VIP Partnership
- Act as the principal financial liaison between Ownership, Asset Management, Hyatt Corporate Office, Retail, Residences and hotel leadership
- Supervise and coordinate owner and corporate reporting; deliver customized analyses and respond promptly and thoughtfully to inquiries
- Partner closely with Corporate and hotel leadership on matters involving VIP guests, high-profile ownership interactions, and sensitive financial situations, ensuring discretion and service excellence
Operational & Strategic Business Partner
- Provide actionable, forward-looking financial insights to support informed decision-making and optimize hotel and asset performance
- Partner with Revenue Management to review forecasts and ensure attainability
- Enable disciplined resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities, brand standards, and long-term value creation
Internal Controls, Risk & Compliance
- Maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and SOX compliance
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts with sound judgment and integrity
- Oversee year-end audit processes, including coordination with external auditors and approval of final audit results
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, licensing, and contractual requirements
People & Culture Leadership
- Lead and develop the on-site Finance, Information Technology and Purchasing teams, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth
- Ensure IT systems and purchasing practices effectively support hotel and residential operations, financial controls, and service delivery
- Build financial and operational acumen across non-finance leaders through education, partnership, and coaching
- Model Hyatt service standards, ensuring Finance, IT and Purchasing deliver responsive, solution-oriented internal and external customer service
- Embrace technology-enabled processes and continuous improvement to elevate performance and colleague experience
SALARY
Salary range for this position is $116,400 - $148,600, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive hotel accounting or finance leadership experience
- Hospitality or Accounting degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Ownership and Corporate leadership
- Strong service orientation with polished presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to balance financial rigor with guests, retail partners, residents, and colleague experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word High energy, sound judgment, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial leadership style
