The Director of Food & Beverage leads the overall strategy, financial performance, and service excellence for all Food & Beverage operations at Grand Hyatt DFW. This role is accountable for driving guest satisfaction, elevating culinary and beverage experiences, maximizing profitability, and developing high-performing teams across outlets, banquets/events, stewarding, and in-room dining (as applicable). The ideal leader blends luxury-level service standards with disciplined operational execution, strong financial acumen, and an inspiring, people-first leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Guest Experience
- Set and execute the vision for all F&B outlets and event operations, aligning with brand standards and property goals.
- Champion service culture and consistent delivery of luxury hospitality, ensuring memorable guest experiences across every touchpoint.
- Lead service recovery practices, proactively address trends in feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
Business Performance & Financial Management
- Own F&B P&L performance, including revenue growth, profitability, cost controls, and productivity targets.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans for outlets and banquets.
- Drive performance in beverage strategy, menu engineering, pricing, upselling, and business mix optimization.
- Monitor and improve key metrics (RevPASH/seat utilization where applicable, banquet capture, check averages, beverage mix, labor %, COGS, comp set positioning).
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations for restaurants/bars/lounges, banquets, stewarding, and in-room dining (as applicable) to ensure flawless execution.
- Establish and maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, and presentation in both front- and back-of-house operations.
- Partner with Culinary leadership to ensure consistent product execution, innovation, and efficient production.
People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop department leaders (outlet leaders, banquet leadership, stewarding, IRD, managers/supervisors) to build a strong leadership bench.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent; build a culture of accountability, recognition, inclusion, and development.
- Ensure consistent training, performance management, and succession planning aligned to Hyatt's purpose: to care for people so they can be their best .
Events, Catering & Partnerships
- Collaborate with Sales, Events, and Banquets teams to maximize catering revenue, improve planner experience, and ensure exceptional event delivery.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including airport partners (as applicable), vendors, and community networks.
- Ensure strong interdepartmental coordination with Rooms, Engineering, Security, and Finance.
Compliance, Safety & Brand Standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation requirements, alcohol service regulations, and hotel safety policies.
- Maintain operational readiness for inspections and audits; uphold HACCP/ServSafe principles as required.
- Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, inventory, and receiving controls with strong governance and transparency.
This position has a salary compensation ranging from $97,000-$123,800.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- 6 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience (typically with Hyatt)
- With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- At least 5 years experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment
- Proven leadership skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Experience implementing new F&B concepts
