Description
Performs managerial and technical work directing the Town’s Electric Utilities Department to ensure cost-efficient, safe and reliable delivery of electric service consistent with sound engineering and customer service principles, established safety procedures and codes, and Town policies; performs and oversees engineering, planning, development, technical, supervisory, and administrative work, and oversees the electric distribution operations activities including construction and maintenance.
This position reports to the Assistant Town Manager. Requires little or no direction on work subject only to policy or strategic guidance. Supervision is exercised over all 45 plus department personnel.
Requirements
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred), business, or public administration and 6+ years of experience (extensive) working with an electric utility in a management position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
