This iconic hotel features 1,628 guestrooms and 320,000 square feet of event space with stunning Pacific Ocean and city views. We are looking for the very best to join our AAA 4-Diamond Hotel, featured in the Top 10 of all Meeting Hotels in the United States per Cvent.

As an Event Operations Supervisor, you will provide support and direction to the event food, beverage and set-up operations. These duties will include floor presence during peak business periods as well as administrative support, which may include scheduling & payroll. You must possess and demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge as well as a willingness to take initiative and action. The ideal candidate will possess the leadership, communication and inter-personal skills to liaison effectively between Event Operations/Planning, Stewarding, Culinary and Audio Visual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Supports the operation, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
- Team Leadership: Support and coach staff to ensure productivity, quality control, and exceptional customer service.
- Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer concerns and challenges promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food and beverages, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Inventory Management: Support inventory management through ordering, product rotation and minimizing waste.
WAGE: The hourly rate for this position is $30.50. This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within hotel event services is highly preferred
- Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment.
- Kronos and Hot SOS experience is a preferred.
