As an Event Operations Supervisor, you will provide support and direction to the event food, beverage and set-up operations. These duties will include floor presence during peak business periods as well as administrative support, which may include scheduling & payroll. You must possess and demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge as well as a willingness to take initiative and action. The ideal candidate will possess the leadership, communication and inter-personal skills to liaison effectively between Event Operations/Planning, Stewarding, Culinary and Audio Visual.

• Operational Excellence: Supports the operation, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
• Team Leadership: Support and coach staff to ensure productivity, quality control, and exceptional customer service.
• Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer concerns and challenges promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food and beverages, ensuring they meet our high standards.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Inventory Management: Support inventory management through ordering, product rotation and minimizing waste.

WAGE: The hourly rate for this position is $30.50. This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within hotel event services is highly preferred
• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment.
• Kronos and Hot SOS experience is a preferred.
