Growing together.The role is to oversee and manage day-to-day operations and month close activities for Finance & Accounting teams. The role requires to demonstrate sound knowledge of Accounting. Closely work with team members ensuring highest standards of accuracy, compliance and Client satisfaction. Should be analytical, detail-oriented , and honest. Should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong understanding of accounting and management principles.
Stakeholders for the role

Work Hours: Regular shift hours : 3.30 PM to 1:00 AM IST
Month end/quarter/year end: Shadow US work hours (6:00 PM to 3.30 AM IST )
Primary Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the Finance Department, ensuring that disbursements and receipts are disbursed, collected, and recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Oversee core accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Manage the transition of new processes from business units into Global Finance Operations via robust governance and documented standard operating procedures
- Should work closely with team members ensuring highest standards of accuracy, compliance and Client satisfaction. Should be analytical, detail oriented, and honest
- Manage all applicable SOX documentation compliance and provide audit support to both internal and external auditors
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation solutions, and standardization opportunities
- Identifies/researches variances and provides appropriate explanations. Should have effective client interactions and escalation management
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit, managing the audit and ensuring timely responses to requests, and accurate financial data is supplied
- Prepare financial statements and support reports in a timely manner that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Identifying areas of control risk. Ensure that an adequate and effective system of internal controls is maintained for reporting and analysis
- Solid analytics skill and variance analysis on root cause of the discrepancy between Subledger & PSGL
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- B.Com /M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, equivalent experience ( 10+ years) - CA's (8+ years Post Qualification)
- 10+ years of professional accounting experience
- Comes with good experience working with reporting tools like Blackline, Concur, Ariba, Hyperion smartview and PeopleSoft General ledger
- Experience working with general ledger / sub-ledger accounting applications
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of GL and sub-GL data sources, and how the information is recorded (e.g., chart of accounts, revenues, expenses, claim costs etc.)
- Demonstrates solid understanding of how to retrieve data from company-specific financial systems and use use tools like Blackline, Smart view, PeopleSoft, SQL, and Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Proven to possess excellent Leadership and interpersonal skills as well as solid understanding of accounting and management principles
- Advance proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications (Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Proven effectively balances quality, customer service and productivity standards. Ability to coach and develop accounting team
- Proven excellent Written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability work independently in self-directed manner and able to handle multiple tasks
- Proven to anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
- Proven analytical skills and an eye for detail. Hands on exposure to
- Variance analysis & commentary writing
- Balance Sheet reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items
- Responding to internal and external auditor requests
- Proposing solutions to noted problems
- Documenting methodology, analysis and conclusions
Preferred Qualification:
- Finance experience in any insurance industry (Health insurance industry)
