Role Responsibilities:
Budget Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive budget trackers for Spirits, DBP, and DNAB (~$500MM), ensuring real-time accuracy.
- Administer Smartsheet software to monitor media spend (current and forecasted), employing automated approval workflows for precise record-keeping.
- Oversee the complete PO lifecycle, including scope review, creation, supporting documentation, proof of delivery, supplier inquiries, and closure
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and contribute to strategic recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver documentation for Finance leadership during quarterly, half-yearly, and annual closings, coordinating deadlines and deliverables with media agencies.
- Ensure accurate tracking of efficiencies and savings.
- Update financial reporting requirements in Anaplan and liaise with remote A&P Finance teams.
Agency Liaison
- Resolve operational issues with media agencies, central suppliers, and the CIA team.
- Manage contracted reporting scopes and monitor timely delivery.
- Organize and maintain data-sharing files and coordination systems via SharePoint.
Billing Operations
- Lead weekly status meetings with Diageo AP Director, Finance, and media suppliers.
- Facilitate billing and PO funding meetings, maintaining auditable tracking systems to ensure monthly cash flow efficiency and reporting anomalies.
- Manage invoicing and reconciliation processes with remote teams, ensuring accurate budget accounting and resolving discrepancies.
Media Reporting and Analysis
- Provide data and analysis for media presentations, executive requests, and planning activities.
- Deliver ad hoc financial reporting for presentations, the M&E team, and internal partners.
Experience / skills required:
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, media, and/or agency related budget management and operations
- Experience with Commercial Financial Software
- Expert SharePoint, Excel (Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, while being extremely meticulous
- Ability to influence, persuade and lead internal teams and suppliers
- BA or equivalent experience in marketing and/or finance
- Experience with Anaplan, SAP and/or Coupa
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability
- Ability to confidently manage and report on high dollar dynamic budgets
- Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly changing environment
- Energetic, relentless drive to succeed, TEAM player
- Used to working with a variety of partners and building relationships
- Deal with a large volume of requests and know how to prioritize workload
