Summary:
The Material Planner I is responsible to assist in handling and maintaining the flow of material and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines; record movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies and help Supervisor verify the accuracy of work performed in the area. Also, will assist the Master Scheduler when necessary; provide daily shipment requirements to materials; and assist in setting and maintaining the weekly production schedule as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Help track customer orders and work in progress/inventory levels.
• Prepare and maintain basic production schedules.
• Update material and schedule information in the system.
• Communicate hourly/daily with manufacturing to share schedule updates and priorities.
• Work with engineering on engineering manufacturing orders or document updates.
• Use the ERP system for basic reporting and data entry.
• Make routine decisions and ask for guidance when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
• 1+ years related experience.
• MRP System experience
• Computer proficiency
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma
