- MOD Plans Reviewer
Description
PFS TECO An NFPA Global Solutions Company is seeking an experienced MOD Plans Reviewer to join our Manufactured Structures Division in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin.
This position reviews modular residential and commercial construction plans to verify compliance with International Code Council model codes and applicable modular construction standards. The role requires strong knowledge of building codes and the ability to analyze construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with modular manufacturers and inspection staff to ensure building designs meet required safety and code standards.
Responsibilities
- Review modular construction plans, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Evaluate compliance with International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and applicable modular standards
- Prepare plan review reports identifying compliance issues and required corrections
- Communicate plan review findings with modular manufacturers and design professionals
- Provide interpretation of building codes and standards
- Coordinate with internal inspection staff to ensure consistent application of codes
- Maintain documentation related to plan review activities
Work Location
This position is in-person at our Cottage Grove, Wisconsin office.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- ICC B3 – Building Plans Examiner certification
- 2–3 years experience in modular construction, plan review, building inspection, or related code enforcement fiel
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple plan reviews and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional International Code Council certifications
- Degree or coursework in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field
- Experience reviewing modular or manufactured building plans
