Growing together.We're looking for a Patient Access Director to lead and inspire a team focused on delivering exceptional patient experiences while driving operational and financial performance. In this role, you'll oversee key functions such as registration financial clearance, ensuring compliance and efficiency across the revenue cycle. You'll collaborate closely with facility, regional, and corporate leaders, champion process improvements, and mentor emerging talent. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient satisfaction and organizational success while working onsite in Gilbert, Arizona
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads and directs staff in achieving performance standards while supporting Patient Access leadership to enhance customer satisfaction and financial outcomes
- Serving as a representative of the corporate Patient Access Revenue Cycle Operations department, the role requires close collaboration with facility and regional leadership
- Key responsibilities include overseeing facility-level functions such as registration, financial clearance, and counseling with a focus on improving revenue cycle performance and ensuring compliance with audits and service level agreements
- System level, the role leads Optum client improvement initiatives and partners with regional and corporate leaders
- Emphasizes leadership development by fostering teamwork, transparency, and accountability, while mentoring staff and emerging leaders
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and drives process improvements in data integrity, quality assurance, and patient satisfaction
- Human resource management duties include hiring, training, evaluating, and retaining staff, as well as managing staffing plans and disciplinary actions
- Engages stakeholders by educating physicians and staff on Patient Access requirements and serving as a consultant and liaison
- Involves preparing reports, analyzing trends, escalating issues as needed, and staying current with industry developments through ongoing professional education and activities

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role in healthcare or revenue cycle
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, ideally in healthcare
- Experience with Patient Access technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reside within a commutable distance to Gilbert, Arizona and have the ability/willingness to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
- HFMA or NAHAM certification
- Experience working with Cerner
- Consulting/project management experience
- Knowledge of payer contracts, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Solid leadership, organizational, and change management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
