Growing together.The Per Diem Pharmacist will have the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise by evaluating and interpreting medication orders, compounding, and dispensing prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional standards. You will play a critical role in identifying, preventing, and resolving medication-related issues to ensure safe, effective, and individualized patient care. Through the application of evidence-based protocols, you will promote clinically sound and cost-effective drug therapy, contributing to improved patient outcomes and advancing the standard of pharmaceutical care.
Pharmacy Location: This role covers shifts at Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospitals at our Murphy and Rockwall locations in the Dallas area.
Schedule: Provides PTO coverage for existing pharmacists. Shifts are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Dispense prescriptions in compliance with legal and professional standards
- Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related issues to promote patient safety
- Apply evidence-based protocols to support clinically sound and cost-effective drug therapy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize individualized patient care plans
- Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold pharmacy operational standards
About the Facility: Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospitals in Murphy and Rockwall are neighborhood hospitals created in partnership with Emerus, the nation's leader in small-format hospitals. This innovative model delivers high-quality, patient-focused care close to home, offering services such as Emergency Care, Imaging, and Laboratory services. Together, Baylor Scott & White and Emerus bring convenient, compassionate care to the Murphy and Rockwall communities.

Required Qualifications:
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
- Active Texas state pharmacist license in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some hospital experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
