Your Role
As a Program Planning Manager - Development, you will play a critical role in transforming innovative designs into manufacturable, high-quality products. You'll guide the operational launch of new programs - from initial customer requirements to fully ramped-up production. In this role, you will coordinate early-stage manufacturing efforts, including the setup of production lines, tooling, and prototypes. You will be the key operational interface during the development phase, enabling a seamless transition from concept to volume production. Working cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams, you'll ensure that customer expectations are translated into effective operational plans. By driving early planning, clear communication, and operational readiness, you will help lay the foundation for product and customer success from day one.
Your future tasks at a glance
- Act as the main operational contact during the development phase
- Evaluate customer requirements during RFQs
- Oversee setup of production lines, tooling, and equipment
- Manage initial builds to ensure quality before mass production
- Coordinate EMS readiness for sample and volume production
- Align material availability with the Supply Chain Analyst
- Track and report key development milestones
- Coordinate prototype production, including flashing, testing, and validation
- Translate customer requirements into operational actions
- Plan and oversee ramp-up to meet customer demand
- Adjust production plans based on order changes or delays
What you bring with you
- Successfully completed university degree in engineering, business management, or a related field (experience in supply chain or production management is a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in production program management or a related role, preferably within the automotive or electronics manufacturing industry
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, take ownership, and drive them to successful completion
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German is a plus
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization
