Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio-Level Controls Leadership
- Oversee project controls delivery across multiple portfolios, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Worley's project delivery framework.
- Develop and maintain integrated portfolio schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers, and performance dashboards.
- Support Portfolio Directors with high-level reporting, data-driven insights, and decision-making analytics.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Level 1-4 schedules for all projects within assigned portfolios.
- Review contractor schedules, validate progress, and perform critical path, trend, and variance analyses.
- Ensure schedule integration across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout activities.
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets and cost control systems across multiple projects.
- Lead forecasting, cash flow modelling, earned value analysis (EVA), and cost variance reporting.
- Ensure adherence to client and Worley cost management procedures.
- Implement and oversee systematic risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies at both project and portfolio levels.
- Lead project change control processes, ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, and approval of changes.
- Maintain visibility of potential risks and opportunities impacting schedule or cost.
- Produce consolidated portfolio performance reports, including KPIs, progress metrics, financial updates, and risk summaries.
- Present insights and recommendations to internal leadership and external clients.
- Ensure compliance with Worley's governance, quality standards, and contract requirements.
- Mentor and guide planning, cost, and estimating professionals across the portfolios.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment on project controls needs.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor for project performance matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
- Experience in project controls within the energy, resources, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven experience managing controls for multiple simultaneous projects or portfolios.
- Strong capability in scheduling (Primavera P6), cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Deep understanding of EPC/EPCM project phases and methodologies.
- Experience working in a global engineering and consulting environment such as Worley.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCP, PSP, EVMP).
- Experience with digital project controls tools (EcoSys, Power BI, Primavera Unifier, etc.).
