Description:The Project Coordinator supports Project Managers and the Program Management Office (PMO) by coordinating day-to-day project activities, maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, managing documentation, and facilitating communication across cross-functional teams. This role plays a critical part in keeping projects organized, visible, and progressing in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Project & PMO Support
- Support Project and Program Managers in the planning, execution, tracking, and closeout of projects.
- Maintain project schedules, task lists, and milestone trackers to ensure alignment with approved plans.
- Coordinate resources, meetings, and communications across functional teams.
- Assist in identifying schedule risks, gaps, and conflicts and escalate concerns appropriately.
Schedule, Reporting & Documentation
- Track project metrics including schedules, deliverables, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and milestones.
- Prepare and maintain project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with PMO data and analytics teams to update and maintain PMO dashboards and performance metrics.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly stored in accordance with PMO standards.
Financial & Performance Tracking
- Assist in tracking project costs, labor hours, work orders, and customer invoicing requirements.
- Support earned value tracking by validating reported progress against actual work performed.
- Audit project data, spreadsheets, and reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Communication & Coordination
- Participate in internal and external project meetings, capturing notes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Serve as a communication liaison between Project Managers, functional teams, and leadership.
- Support customer and stakeholder communications as directed by the Project Manager.
Compliance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure project activities align with contract requirements, quality procedures, and PMO standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and lessons learned.
- Uphold safety, quality, and ethical standards in all project activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Requires an associate's degree in business management, Engineering, Finance, or related field from a credited college, university, or technical school; or two (2) years of successful related experience or training in engineering, finance, or manufacturing management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPIM, CAPM or PMP preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or project-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals including scheduling, critical paths, resource planning, and risk tracking.
- Basic understanding of earned value principles and project financial reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems (IFS preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project required. Smartsheet and Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience supporting Project Managers and leadership teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirements:
- Between facilities as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
- May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
Work Environment:
- Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area.
