We are seeking a Restaurant Assistant General Manager who brings passion, leadership, and a refined understanding of restaurant operations to help guide our award-winning culinary destination.
About the Role
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a key member of the Weft & Warp leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence, cultivating a high-performing team culture, and ensuring every guest experience reflects the Andaz brand's signature warmth and authenticity. This role partners closely with the Restaurants' General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, elevate service standards, and support strategic initiatives that enhance both guest satisfaction and financial performance.
What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and adjust restaurant reservation blocks according to business levels to maximize revenue potential.
- Ensure complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, source of ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
- Know the characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wine/champagne by the bottle on the wine list.
- Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of restaurant team, including handling disciplinary problems and counseling employees according to resort standards.
- Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure consistent execution across all meal periods
- Collaborate with culinary team to deliver cohesive, memorable dining experiences
- Help oversee financial performance, including labor management, cost controls, and revenue strategies
- Foster a culture of genuine hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day. Always promote positive guest relations.
What You Bring
- Strong, proven restaurant management experience in a high-volume, high-quality dining environment
- Extensive beverage knowledge, including wine, craft cocktails, and beverage program development
- A leadership style that inspires, motivates, and builds trust
- A guest-centric mindset with a passion for creating meaningful experiences
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Stand alone restaurant experience, and strong table/service maintenance knowledge, and etiquette a must.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2+ years as F&B Management preferred
• Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment required
• Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
• Strong communication skills
• Stand alone restaurant experience, and strong table/service maintenance knowledge, and etiquette a must.
