GENERAL PURPOSE:
This role will support the Finance Manager in Transportation Finance and serve as a key partner to Operations and Finance leadership. Responsibilities include developing advanced financial models, supporting long term planning and cost optimization initiatives, preparing strategic insights and recommendations, and leading complex analysis to guide decision making across the transportation network. The individual will leverage strong analytical skills, business acumen, and effective storytelling to influence outcomes and support both day to day and forward looking financial priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead complex financial analyses and long range strategic planning, serving as a subject matter expert on transportation cost drivers and planning assumptions.
• Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Transportation, Supply Chain, and Planning to drive alignment and influence strategic decisions.
• Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, datasets, and models that improve visibility into KPIs, cost trends, and operational performance.
• Evaluate cost saving opportunities and model network, vendor, and operational scenarios to provide data driven recommendations to leadership.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen forecasting and automation, and mentor analysts on modeling best practices and data integrity.
• Create and deliver clear, compelling presentations that translate financial insights, trends, and recommendations for senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 4-6 years of progressive experience in financial analysis; transportation, logistics, or supply chain finance strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/reporting tools a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting theory and strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to adapt and effectively deal with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong track record of accuracy and accountability.
• Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• High degree of business curiosity, ownership, and initiative.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex analytical projects from design through execution.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance in office (Hybrid work schedule)
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently requires sitting, primarily working on a computer and handling objects with hands.
Job occasionally requires lifting up to 10 pounds. #LI-Hybrid
