Starting Salary: $82,644
(New hires are paid the starting rate. Current employees' pay rate is determined by their job title and years of service.)
This position is open to the public and all current City employees covered under the City's collective bargaining agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

As a Senior Infrastructure Administrator, with a focus on End User Computing (EUC) and Endpoint Administration, your day-to-day responsibilities will be to install, configure, manage, and support enterprise endpoint environments across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms. You will ensure the performance, security, and availability of end-user devices and services, enabling a seamless and secure user experience across the organization. You will be responsible for endpoint lifecycle management, device provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and security using modern endpoint management tools. This role will focus on managing laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and tablets, along with associated software, identity integrations, and enterprise mobility solutions. Additionally, you will identify and resolve performance issues, manage system updates, enforce security policies, and support mobility initiatives. You will play a key role in improving endpoint reliability, scalability, and user experience, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. Strong knowledge of industry-leading practices in technical administration, scripting, end point management solutions, and relevant policies and regulations is crucial.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This class is distinguished from the entry-level by the amount of discretion exercised over technical issues, problems, and resolutions; positions must possess a significant level of specialized technical and functional expertise beyond that expected at the entry level; require highly specialized knowledge, abilities and skills and experience and often exercise independent judgement in the performance of their duties. The senior level also has greater latitude in determining work methods and assignments; greater authority over assignments and decisions required to complete the work than the lower-level classification; and works on complex server, network, and telecom infrastructure projects.
• Manage the setup, configuration, and deployment of endpoint devices across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms using enterprise endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or similar)
• Administer endpoint environments, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, and policy enforcement
• Assist in endpoint security by implementing and maintaining compliance policies, encryption, antivirus, patch management, and conditional access controls
• Perform device provisioning, imaging (where applicable), and lifecycle management including onboarding, refresh, and decommissioning of devices
• Monitor endpoint performance and health; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues
• Provide advanced support for end-user computing devices, including escalation support for complex issues across desktop and mobile platforms
• Ensure timely deployment of OS updates, patches, and firmware upgrades across all supported platforms
• Maintain and support endpoint-related services such as identity integration (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID), authentication methods, VPN clients, and productivity tools
• Configure and support collaboration and productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft 365)
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline endpoint management and reduce manual effort
• Maintain accurate inventory of endpoint devices, software assets, and licensing using ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management
• Evaluate and implement enhancements to improve endpoint security, user experience, and operational efficiency
• Plan and execute endpoint-related upgrades, migrations, and rollouts
• Ensure system recoverability through endpoint backup solutions (where applicable) and support user data protection strategies
• Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures related to endpoint management

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Computer or Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Database Administration, or a related field required plus at least three (3) years of technical administration, cloud solutions or related work experience
Should the above criteria not be fulfilled, the following options are acceptable:
o Five (5) years of technical administration, cloud solutions or related work experience
o Graduation from an accredited college with an Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer
or Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Database Administration, or a related field required plus at least one (1) year of technical administration, cloud solutions or related work experience
NOTE: Relevant certification is strongly preferred
