Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Project and Program Management will lead the execution of internal projects and workstreams within the Member Journey Orchestration Center of Excellence, from initiation through successful delivery. This role requires expertise in project and program management methodologies, financial oversight, and change management to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and on budget. The Senior Manager will leverage data driven insights to communicate strategies effectively, foster continuous improvement, and share best practices across the organization.
Fundamental Job Components:
- Act as the primary lead for cross functional workstreams to deliver measurable outcomes aligned with business strategy and member engagement objectives.
- Leverage project management methodologies to ensure each work stream and assigned project has clearly defined objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocations, funding needs, risk assessments and executive ready updates.
- Leverage comprehensive member and operational data to tailor insights and updates for executive decision-making in an easily understandable and compelling format.
- Proactively identify gaps and adapt project plans to ensure alignment with evolving business objectives while reinforcing organizational standards and best practices.
- Apply highly developed knowledge of financial management principles to manage cost estimation, tracking, and budget reporting for programs and projects.
- Coordinate cross-business knowledge sharing to highlight success stories and improve project and program management practices through insights.
- Develop and maintain a continuous improvement plan for the project and program department to enhance delivery processes and outcomes.
- Design and execute change management protocols that drive stakeholder engagement and adoption strategies to effectively respond to obstacles that may arise during project and program lifecycles.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in project or program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior-level role preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of member engagement strategies, with practical experience in healthcare or insurer environments
- Exceptional leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple high-impact programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%, if necessary
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and continuous improvement through strategic initiatives.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planner, Loop, MIRO)
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Agile certification (e.g., SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP) a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
