Optum Insight Technology and Engineering is a critical function in Optum Insight driving the innovation and value we provide our customers and partners. This team is focused on products, solutions, platform / enabling capability development, product development lifecycle, engineering excellence and connectivity to Optum Technology.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define work strategies, aligning these with resources and desired client outcomes, and overseeing planning and execution of the work
- Ensure technology solutions are managed to support business strategies, often working with senior management
- Direct the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs
- Conduct analyses, needs assessments, and cost/benefit assessments and helping to broker other technology services
- Monitor financials to ensure budget compliance
- Release management
- Provide leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks
- Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the following: ALM, release management, project management, state government engagements, client communication, Service Now
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare IT environment
- Child support and incident remediation knowledge
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
