- Participate in discussions with the project team to analyze the functional and nonfunctional requirements of the solutions in Agile methodology
- Perform manual/automated testing and log detailed defects in Rally
- Design and develop scalable, flexible, and cross-platform automation tests
- Partner with Development , Devops , Product teams for testing process and features while working in sprints
- Design and develop test approaches, test strategies, and test plans to ensure testing is right sized and risk-based testing principles are applied
- Participate in technical design reviews and be able to identify requirements ambiguity
- Provide QA status reports and escalate issues/risks in a timely manner to management for resolution
- Ongoing continuous improvement to build testing efficiency and effectiveness through the use of innovative QA practices
- Work closely with development and business partners during design and grooming sessions
- Review requirements and provide level of effort for various phases of testing
- Works with less structured, more complex issues
- Serves as a resource to others
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in hands-on experience in testing, end to end scenario testing with Agile methodologies
- 2+ years of experience working with SQL or any one RDBMS
- 2+ years of experience in Smoke, Functional, Regression, System Testing, Database Testing & UAT Testing
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual and test automation using Cypress, Selenium with Java, cucumber & Protractor etc.
- E2E testing experience testing complex flows including multiple diverse systems and automating them
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment like Jenkins for executing automated tests, application deployment Expertise with testing API's using JSON and XML requests/ responses with backend systems like Postgres or similar DBs
- Proven ability to perform performance testing of API's and UIs and see bottlenecks using Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana etc. and report issues to development team
- Proven fast learner, clear communication and executing the work assigned is critical
