The Storeroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and procurement of goods for the hotel, ensuring all items meet quality, cost, and specification standards. This role manages the full lifecycle of product flow-from purchasing and receiving through storage, inventory control, and distribution-while upholding Finance division policies and audit requirements. The Storeroom Manager works closely with internal operational departments to ensure timely availability of products, accurate stock levels, and efficient, compliant storeroom operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the purchasing of goods for the hotel, ensuring products meet quality, price, and specification standards.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of food, beverage, and operational supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and reconcile variances while adhering to Finance division controls.
- Ensure proper rotation (FIFO), food safety standards, and cleanliness of all storeroom areas.
- Review purchase orders, match invoices to deliveries, and communicate discrepancies to vendors.
- Fulfill requisitions submitted by hotel departments.
- Maintain record of food quality receiving logs.
- Maintain relationships with all suppliers and vendors.
- Research and source new or special request items when needed.
- Support cost-control efforts by monitoring usage trends, preventing waste, and identifying purchasing efficiencies.
- Assist Finance leadership with forecasting, month-end reporting, and inventory-related documentation.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in storeroom operations, purchasing, inventory control, or related hospitality roles.
- Experience with inventory or purchasing software (e.g., BirchStreet, Adaco, Coupa, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage purchasing functions and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Knowledge of proper storage, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting practices and the ability to understand financial documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively, push loaded flatbed carts, use a pallet jack and work in cold storage (below zero temperatures) environments regularly.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast - paced hotel environment.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Hospitality background preferred.
