The Strategy and Planning Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and enabling strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual will manage high-impact, cross-functional projects in partnership with executive leadership, connect key stakeholders, and ensure seamless execution of business priorities. The role requires strong organizational skills, executive communication capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to influence outcomes and foster engagement.
Required Qualifications
General
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, program/project management, or related roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience creating executive-level materials.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Exceptional organizational and facilitation skills with a focus on driving results.
Strategic Project Leadership
- Serve as the primary owner for key organizational projects, working closely with executive leadership to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide ad hoc support on critical priorities such as EPIC implementation and other enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Lead critical pathways for technology roadmapping in partnership with technology teams to meet business-critical roadmap requirements.
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
Cross-Team Alignment
- Act as a connector across teams to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and decision-making.
- Facilitate collaboration between business units and senior leadership to drive clarity and accountability.
Updated Section: Executive Communication & Engagement
- Design and develop high-quality slide decks and materials for executive-level presentations and communications.
- Support senior leader engagement strategies, including planning and managing leadership roundtables and forums.
- Lead structured feedback analysis from roundtable discussions, synthesizing insights into actionable themes and priorities.
- Develop and present comprehensive feedback reports to executive leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with senior leaders to translate feedback into clear action plans with measurable outcomes and timelines.
Action Planning & Change Management
- Drive execution of action plans by coordinating across business units, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.
- Implement change management strategies to support adoption of new processes, tools, or cultural initiatives resulting from feedback.
- Monitor and report on the impact of implemented changes, adjusting plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Facilitate communication loops to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the change process.
Feedback Analysis & Action Planning
- Analyze feedback from organizational initiatives and engagement activities.
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute action plans based on insights.
Meeting & Decision Facilitation
- Organize and manage key meetings, including agenda development, pre-read preparation, and action tracking.
- Drive decision-making processes by ensuring stakeholders have the right information and context.
People Engagement & Culture Initiatives
- Partner with leadership to implement strategies that enhance team engagement and collaboration.
- Support initiatives that promote transparency, inclusion, and organizational culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project).
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development practices.
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels
- MBA, master's level education
Education
BA in Business, Healthcare or related field

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
