Reporting to the Director of Public Works, you’ll combine technical excellence and project leadership, handling everything from design reviews and estimating to construction oversight and regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role for a licensed Professional Engineer who thrives in both the office and the field.

Requirements

•         Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field required.
•         Minimum of five years’ experience in public works design and/or construction required.
•         Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred and strongly encouraged.
•         Strong understanding of civil engineering and surveying principles, especially for municipal and capital projects.
•         Familiarity with construction methods, materials, safety procedures, and public funding expected.
•         Understanding of funding opportunities and grants for public works projects. 
•         Proficiency with engineering software and basic surveying equipment required. 
•         Valid Massachusetts Class D driver’s license required
