- Assistant Projects Engineer
Description
This position within the State Aid for Local Transportation Division will be part of a team that delivers the local, state aid, state transportation, and federal programs to counties, cities, and townships statewide. This position acts as a technical liaison and resource to leadership and local agencies in the State Aid for Local Transportation group. This position will provide support to the Jurisdictional Transfer Program. Duties include:
- Assist the Projects Engineer with the implementation of program goals, objectives, policies and procedures for the Jurisdictional Transfer program.
- Assist the Projects Engineer with coordination between DSAEs and local agencies on the negotiation of jurisdictional transfers. Assist with providing any technical, historical, and legislative knowledge regarding jurisdictional transfers.
- Project management and assist with project coordination, research and sharing of technical information related to special projects led or co-led by State Aid Operation.

Requirements
Licensure as a professional engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.
AND
Experience with highway engineering practices and principles.
