The Role
The global lead of Facilities provides strategic leadership and governance across Hyatt's managed, franchise, and owned properties worldwide. This role establishes a unified, data-driven facilities organization that ensures operational excellence, sustainability leadership, and risk mitigation.
This leader will develop and enforce global standards for building systems, facilities operations, sustainability, and asset preservation. Through a centralized framework, the Global Head will drive alignment across regions, ensuring consistency in maintenance, compliance, capital planning, and vendor management. The role will also oversee the integration of ESG programs, preventive maintenance strategies, and digital compliance tools that enhance performance, transparency, and owner trust.
Collaboration across business functions-including Operations, Risk Management, Development, Procurement, Construction Services, Openings & Conversions, and Finance-is essential to ensure that facilities programs protect the brand, enhance guest satisfaction, and safeguard long-term asset value.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
• Establish a global facilities management framework with clear governance, accountability, and reporting structures.
• Lead the creation and enforcement of global engineering, maintenance, and operational standards.
• Develop centralized policies, playbooks, and digital compliance systems to drive consistency and efficiency across all properties.
• Partner with Construction Services and the Openings & Conversions team to ensure facilities standards, building systems, and compliance requirements are embedded during design, development, renovations, and transition phases.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and regional teams on asset preservation, risk, and sustainability initiatives.
Risk Management & Compliance
• Strengthen brand resilience by ensuring all properties comply with global safety, fire, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement global compliance dashboards and digital tools for monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
• Partner with Risk Management to minimize exposure, improve audit readiness, and enhance incident prevention.
• Work closely with Risk Management to develop and maintain global crisis response and business continuity playbooks.
Sustainability & ESG
• Integrate ESG metrics and reporting into daily operations and long-term planning.
• Partner with Sustainability to lead global energy, water, and carbon reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with Hyatt's sustainability goals.
• Establish standardized sustainability KPIs and reporting frameworks across regions.
• Champion ESG innovation, certifications, and partnerships that enhance environmental and social impact.
Asset & Maintenance Management
• Oversee implementation of global preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and lifecycle performance.
• Support centralized CapEx planning and forecasting processes.
• Develop data-driven asset dashboards that inform investment, risk, and operational decisions.
Vendor & Program Management
• Establish a centralized vendor management system with standardized service level agreements (SLAs) and performance scorecards.
• Leverage global procurement programs to achieve cost efficiencies and quality consistency.
• Oversee rollout of digital tools and platforms that improve transparency and vendor accountability.
Talent Development & Culture
• Build and lead a global network of regional engineering and facilities leaders.
• Develop global training, certification, and advancement programs to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
• Promote a safety-first culture with emphasis on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with senior leadership, GMs, RVPs, Construction Services, and the Openings & Conversions team to ensure alignment between facilities operations, development, and new property transitions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Development, and Procurement teams to ensure facility readiness, asset quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Communicate performance insights and global program updates through regular business reviews and dashboards.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to support development, design, and operational strategies.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering and facilities leadership experience, preferably within the hospitality or global real estate sectors.
• Proven success leading multi-region or global facilities operations, with emphasis on sustainability, compliance, and risk management.
• Deep technical expertise in building systems, asset management, and capital planning.
• Experience implementing centralized FM programs, technology platforms (CMMS/IWMS), and ESG reporting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across diverse stakeholders and manage large-scale organizational transformation.
Experience Preferred:
• Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, LEED, or PMP.
• Strong data and financial acumen with ability to interpret operational metrics into strategic insights.

The salary range for this position is $161,000 to $250,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
