Construction Liability Claims Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Liability Claims Technician to join Sedgwick Construction and Engineering London Market Team

Sedgwick has one of the largest Construction and Engineering teams in the UK, supporting insurers and self‑insured clients with Construction All Risks (CAR), Construction Liability and Engineering claims across a wide range of Construction and Engineering sectors.

We are recruiting a Construction Liability Claims Technician to join this specialist team. The team is based in London, but this role can be home‑based or flexible for the right candidate.

You will handle a mix of Employers' Liability and Public Liability construction claims, including personal injury and property damage. Claims will be managed end to end, from first notification through to settlement. There is clear scope to develop into an adjusting role within the Construction and Engineering function over time.

Clients include leading construction businesses, blue‑chip corporates and brokers. You will need prior claims handling experience, a calm and professional approach, and an eye for detail. A questioning mindset is important, with the ability to spot concerns, challenge information and follow the correct procedures where fraud may be suspected.

This is perfect for someone who enjoys technical claims, values flexible working, and wants to grow their career within a respected Construction and Engineering team.

The skills you will have when you apply:

• Self‑Motivation - You are proactive, organised and able to work independently using your own initiative.
• Claims Experience - You have hands‑on experience handling EL, PL, injury and property claims, managing your own caseload end to end.
• Clear Communication - You communicate confidently with colleagues, brokers, policyholders, claimants and other stakeholders.
• Legal Knowledge - You apply a solid understanding of current case law, legislation and liability in everyday decision‑making.
• Customer Focus - You deliver high standards of customer service and are willing to go the extra mile.
• Core Skills and Qualifications - You hold a clean driving licence, have strong keyboard and MS Office skills, and while insurance qualifications are desirable, relevant experience is equally valued.
