Job Description

Responsibilities:
 Collaborate with users and project team on requirements and expectations
 Analyze business requirements, create proper data solutions that meets functional and non-functional requirements
 Analyze existing system to find the original source data based on business requirements
 Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows
 Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
 Discover metadata of the source database, including value patterns and distributions, key candidates, foreign-key candidates, and functional dependencies
 Design logical and physical data models
 Create design documents including FRD
 Prepare test cases, test data, and capture test evidence.

Job Description - Grade Specific

Experience:
 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent experience is ideal
 6-10 years of relevant experience in system development or business system analyst role
 Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
 Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

Skills:
 Strong data/system analytics skills using various coding language
 Good knowledge of Oracle database, MS-SQL Server, MongoDB, Linux, networking
 Data structures and data management knowledge and proven experience
 Extended knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
 Exposure to new platforms and adapt to a continuous evolving ecosystem of multiple moving components involving Hive, HBase, Zeppelin, Spark, Livy, Solr
 Good problem-solving skills
 Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferable:
 Understanding of REST API, micro-services, ETL, and Salesforce is preferred
 Hand-on experience with Cloud services is preferred
 Understanding of streaming data processing and change data capture is preferred

Language:
 Japanese: Advanced
 English: Intermediate (preferred)

 Detailed and precise, able to drive alone the design and development of complex system
 Patient and verbally apt, specific to senior business users
 Able to understand non-technical specification and transform to IT requirements
 Able to adapt to users' needs but also assertive enough to navigate complex and demanding continuously growing environment
 Good prioritization skills and project management skills. Able to absorb and handle multiple requests at the same time
