Description

Our client is a leading hedge fund seeking an Equity Analyst to join its Singapore-based investment team.

This role is best suited for candidates with prior investing experience who are looking to further develop their careers within a high-performance hedge fund environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on listed companies across sectors and geographies.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses.
• Generate long and short investment ideas through bottom-up company analysis and industry research.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, industry developments, and market catalysts.
• Prepare investment memos and present actionable recommendations to Portfolio Managers.

Requirements

• At least 3-8 years of relevant experience within hedge funds, asset management firms, or related industries.
• Strong fundamental equity research, financial modelling, and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated passion for investing and financial markets.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• CFA qualification or progress towards the designation is advantageous.

Preferred Background

• Prior buy-side experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience covering sectors such as Technology, Consumer, Financials, Industrials, Healthcare, or Internet is highly desirable.
• Exposure to long/short investing or hedge fund investment processes would be advantageous.
