Job Overview:
As Group Sales Manager, you are responsible for and accountable to driving group and event revenue across corporate and social segments. This role focuses on securing high-value, high-rated business including executive retreats, incentive programs, weddings, and exclusive buyouts.
You will proactively source new business, convert qualified leads, and build strong relationships with decision-makers. Success in this role requires a disciplined sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to consistently close premium-rated business in a luxury environment. The role carries a sales quota, and the manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding the assigned revenue target.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute targeted strategies to achieve group revenue goals, with focus on high-rated corporate retreats, incentive programs, and private events.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business across key feeder markets and emerging segments.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with planners, corporate decision-makers, and luxury travel intermediaries.
- Lead Management: Manage inbound lead flow with disciplined response times, follow-up, and conversion focus.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Structure and close deals that align with rate integrity and overall resort strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor trends, competitor positioning, and demand patterns to inform strategy.
- Commercial Alignment: Partner with Sales Leadership and Revenue Management to optimize pricing, mix, and total revenue contribution.
Compensation and Benefits
- The compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Final offer aligns with experience and demonstrated performance
- This position is eligible for Hyatt's sales incentive plan, offering uncapped earning potential with quarterly payouts
- Gas and cellphone allowance included
- Remote position (Must be located within a 90-minute drive of the resort)

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, with demonstrable success closing high value group business in high-ADR (+$1,000) environments
- Commercial Performance: Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets and manage a defined sales quota.
- Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing capabilities with complex, high-touch clients.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of luxury customer expectations and group dynamics.
- Work Style: Self-directed, proactive, and results-driven with strong organizational discipline.
- Systems: Proficiency in CRM and sales systems. Hyatt systems experience preferred
