The Small Market Group Sales Manager is an individual who has experience with the sales process, managing a quota, and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms under 100 on peak night, meeting space and other Hyatt services to group customers, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and solicits and generates business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Small Market Group Sales Manager will also participate in event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Small Market Group Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

The salary range for this position is $76,700 - $95,900. This is the salary range the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay for this role. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

• A true hospitality driven individual who is passionate about customer service in a fast -paced, high performing sales environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 2-4 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
• Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training.
