The Events Manager is a key member of the Corporate Events team supporting the entire CVS Health enterprise. Our mission is to create and deliver innovative brand experiences that drive growth, retention, and reflect our corporate objectives and values. This role is responsible for managing meetings and trade shows within the Center of Excellence, collaborating with key business stakeholders to develop event strategies focused on best-in-class execution driving internal engagement, influencing customers, and enhancing our brand.
Job Description
- Manage all event logistics for a variety of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events of varying complexity for both internal and external audiences
- Collaborate strategically with internal business partners across the enterprise to understand and support their goals, proactively integrating events into business plans to drive results
- Build and maintain strong internal business partner relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring successful event outcomes with flawless execution
- Partner with enterprise leaders to develop compelling agendas and drive customer and colleague engagement, influencing overall event design and leveraging best practices
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, project status, and expectations
- Identify operational challenges and develop solution-oriented strategies and processes
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Operations, Legal, Security, IT, Human Resources, Compliance, Communications, and Marketing to coordinate all event components
- Collaborate with Procurement on legal contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and letters of agreement (LOAs)
- Oversee and manage event financials, supplier payments, event reconciliation, and cost-savings documentation
- Prepare post event recaps and reports measuring key ROI (return on investment) and indicators and survey metrics
Fundamental Components
- Independently manage all aspects of assigned events from end to end, including venue sourcing, pre-event planning, project management, invitations, attendee registration, budget oversight, final reconciliation, billing accuracy, meeting close-out, and additional duties as needed
- Successfully manage multiple complex projects and internal business partners in a fast-paced environment
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality events that support our company culture. values, internal engagement, and customer success.
- Negotiate and contract with vendors, venues and partners to drive cost efficiency and savings while ensure service level and project scope
- Provide onsite management (travel) and execution of all assigned events
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, and use of all pre-established templates and processes
- Deliver operational requirements and tasks within agreed timelines
- Stay current on industry trends in event management and integrate innovative practices into event design as appropriate
Skills
- Strong business acumen, including analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with a solution-oriented approach to decision-making
- Dedicated and focused, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks
- Strong presentation and leadership skills to influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the enterprise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of meeting technologies and project management
- Demonstrates accountability, ownership, collaboration and a commitment to innovation in every aspect of event management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of event management experience with internal and external stakeholders
- Expertise in Cvent (RFP, website development, overall management, communications, reporting)
Travel Requirements
- This position requires approximately 25%-50% travel, including occasional weekends.
- Must be able to carry and lift objects up to 35 lbs. A valid driver's license is required to rent vehicles
Education
- Bachelor's degree OR equiv. work experience
- CMP certification preferred
- Cvent certification REQUIRED

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
