Outside Sales Account Manager - Industrial Component Service & Repair

We are seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to grow our business in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas.
In this role, you will partner with manufacturing and industrial customers to provide repair solutions that reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. You will work with maintenance, engineering, operations, and purchasing professionals to support repairs of industrial electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos, and mechanical components.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on new business development and account growth.
- Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer visits.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, presentations, quotations, follow-up, and closing.Build relationships with maintenance, engineering, operations, and purchasing decision-makers.
- Utilize CRM and sales tools to effectively manage territory and opportunities.
- Partner with customer service and technical support teams to deliver solutions and exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct regular customer visits to identify opportunities and grow existing accounts.
- Achieve sales activity and revenue goals.
Experience, Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or a two-year technical degree, preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in industrial sales, technical sales, industrial distribution, MRO, automation, fluid power, or industrial repair services preferred.
- Experience with repair solutions involving industrial electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos, automation equipment, or mechanical systems is preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to drive regularly, work in industrial environments, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
