Role & responsabilities
Join our project team and gain valuable exposure to project coordination, stakeholder management and project execution within a dynamic engineering environment. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with public authorities, project teams and operational stakeholders while developing practical experience in the delivery of infrastructure and engineering projects.
In this role, you will:
- Support project coordination activities throughout the different phases of project execution.
- Liaise with government authorities, including the Roads and Traffic Directorate and local Municipalities, to facilitate the approval process and obtain required wayleave clearances.
- Monitor the status of permits and approvals, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist project teams in maintaining accurate records of submissions, approvals and project documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth progression of project activities.
- Provide administrative and operational support during the project execution phase.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to progress tracking and reporting activities.
- Help identify potential schedule impacts and support the implementation of mitigation actions when required.
Profile
You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field, and are looking to gain hands-on experience in project coordination and engineering project delivery.
Organized and detail-oriented, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities and interacting with a variety of stakeholders. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective working relationships with both internal teams and external authorities.
Curious, proactive and eager to learn, you are interested in gaining exposure to project management, permitting processes and infrastructure development within a multicultural environment.
A good command of English, both written and spoken, will be considered an asset.
Location: Riffa, Bahrain
Duration: 6-month internship from January 2027
