Position: Project Package Manager (Mechanical)

Location: Qatar

Large Scale EPC Offshore Project | Qatar

As part of a major offshore EPC development in Qatar, we are seeking an experienced Project Package Manager (Mechanical) to lead the execution and delivery of a critical mechanical package within a large-scale project environment.

This is a senior project management role focused on package execution, coordination, interface management, schedule, cost, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will act as the focal point for all package-related activities, ensuring delivery in accordance with project objectives, contractual requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned mechanical package throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Define and coordinate the package scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, and execution strategy.
• Lead package execution activities in alignment with overall project objectives and milestones.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Quality, HSE, Logistics and Project Controls teams.
• Manage package interfaces across multiple disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Monitor package progress, identify risks and deviations, and implement recovery actions when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, or EPC industry.
• Demonstrated experience as a Package Manager, Project Management, Work Package Manager, or equivalent role on large EPC projects.
• Mandatory experience on mega EPC projects with complex multidisciplinary scopes and multiple interfaces.
• Proven experience managing mechanical equipment and package delivery during project execution phases.
• Previous experience in offshore projects and Middle East projects will be considered an advantage.

This position is focused on package execution and project management. A detailed design engineering background is not required. Candidates with strong package management, project execution, procurement, construction, and delivery experience within major EPC projects are encouraged to apply.
