POSITION: SENIOR BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT ANALYST

Role Details:
Gold Fields Ghana seeks to engage the services of an experienced and qualified individual for the position of Senior Business Improvement Analyst for the Engineering department. Reporting to the Manager - Asset Optimisation (AO) with strong collaboration to the Chief Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, improving, advising and assisting to carry out various improvement projects in the department. Projects and tasks will focus heavily on enhancing operational efficiency, improving cross functional team working, and cost reduction.

About the role:

• Spearhead the department's Asset Optimisation (AO)/BI strategy through the development and
  implementation of effective and efficient AO/business improvement projects, methodologies, and associated techniques
• Provide fact-based advise to help the team identify key engineering priorities, solve root-causes, and identify significant cost saving ideas
• Assist idea owners to develop effective work plans, provide analytical requirements to implement ideas, and track ideas to ensure delivery of results and sustainability
• Conduct thorough diagnosis of engineering processes and operations, document and present
  recommendations and provide detailed assessment of cost, benefits, and risk
• Assist Plant Engineers to carry out root cause analysis on various engineering and maintenance related downtimes
• Work with provided process modelling framework to mentor and support mine-wide cultural change to continuous process and performance improvement
• Lead and facilitate engineering BI projects using various methodologies
• Collaborate across the business to ensure buy-in from various stakeholders and streamline end -to end processes to deliver quantifiable value
• Gather and assess data to derive insights into operational activities

About you:

• First Degree in Engineering, Electrical ,Mechanical or equivalent tertiary degree
• Extensive demonstrated experience (5-7 years) in business analysis, business process mapping and business process re-engineering
• Detailed understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean tools)
• Knowledge of project planning and project management methodologies
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent relationship development skills, with the ability to balance work and interaction with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, and industry contacts
• Excellent business acumen, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• A valid Ghanaian driving license and proficiency in driving a light vehicle
