As a Data Engineer in Contracts and Wordings Services, you will design, build, and operate data solutions that power underwriting analytics and reporting. You will translate business requirements into scalable data pipelines, models, and products, working across the full engineering lifecycle with modern practices. The platform is evolving to support GenAI and LLM use cases, with a strong focus on data quality, performance, and reliability.

About the Role

In this role, you will develop and optimise data models, transformations, and integrations on a large-scale contracts analytics platform. You will address challenges in data consistency, performance, and system reliability at scale, while supporting deployments and strengthening engineering standards, tooling, and ways of working.

About You

You are an experienced Data Engineer with a strong engineering mindset and a passion for building reliable, well-designed data solutions. You enjoy working in complex data environments, take pride in code quality and automation, and are comfortable owning solutions end-to-end. You collaborate effectively in international teams and continuously look for ways to improve how software is built and operated.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and services
• Solid hands-on experience with Python for data engineering including at least one modern data processing framework (e.g. Pandas, Polars, PySpark)
• Experience with data observability, monitoring and troubleshooting in production environments
• Hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality controls
• Knowledge of Agile development practices
• Good communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

These are additional nice to haves:

• Experience on Palantir
• You actively use AI-supported development tools (e.g. copilots, agentic workflows) to improve code quality, productivity, and engineering outcomes

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 3 400 EUR and 5 700 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
