About the Role
As a Senior Transactions Client Manager, you'll be at the heart of developing and executing transformative reinsurance solutions for our Life & Health business in China. This multifaceted role combines client relationship building, market analysis, and technical expertise to create tailored solutions that deliver exceptional value to both clients and Swiss Re.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and nurture relationships with Life and Health insurance clients in China, focusing on transactions origination
• Analyze market developments and regulatory environments to identify new business opportunities as well as competitors analysis
• Identify and originate transactions based on deep understanding of client needs and market trends, prepare presentation materials & pitching for new transactions opportunities
• Structure creative solutions by building/using quantitative models and working as part of the extended Swiss Re Transactions team that address client challenges while aligning with Swiss Re's risk appetite
• Execute/On-boarding transactions by producing analysis for different stakeholders, negotiating with counterparties, and managing internal approval processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally during due diligence and contract negotiations to ensure timely contract signing
• Ensure accuracy of transactions-related billing and monitoring activities

About the Team
The Transactions team specializes in developing and executing strategic transactions that address clients' complex balance sheet and capital needs, complementing other Client Managers who focus on traditional reinsurance business. The team serves as a local technical center of excellence for transactions, working closely with client managers and global structured solutions specialists to identify opportunities, provide technical expertise, and facilitate the development of tailored transaction solutions that create value for both clients and Swiss Re.

About You
You're a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge of the life and health industry and a passion for structuring innovative solutions. Your ability to understand complex balance sheet and capital challenges, identify opportunities, and develop creative approaches sets you apart. You thrive in technical discussions, build strong relationships, and deliver results that exceed expectations.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
• Qualified actuary with 8+ years of work experience in the Life and Health industry, particularly in transactions-related areas
• In-depth knowledge of China's Life and Health markets, including products, clients, and interpretation of the regulatory requirements - with the ability to translate into the design of structured solutions
• Familiar with different types of transactions in the China Life and Health market, capable of revising and optimizing solutions in the evolving market environment
• Strong understanding of actuarial frameworks across different regimes including C-ROSS, IFRS17, and embedded value
• Expertise in life insurers' business from a financial perspective and capital management concepts including funding, ALM, CoC
• Ability to translate market opportunities into compelling client pitches and practical solutions
• Modeling skills to quantify solution impacts for both clients and Swiss Re
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills
These are additional nice to haves:
• Track record of successful transaction execution in the Chinese insurance market
• Knowledge of different financial market instruments and their impact on balance sheets
• Experience working in cross-functional, international teams

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
