CVS Specialty is looking for a high-energy healthcare professional to join our Generic Conversion team as a Benefit Verification Specialist! This rewarding opportunity allows you to work closely with our dedicated Generic Team's Pharmacists and Pharmacy Service Representatives. You will work with insurance providers to verify coverage for generic drugs for cost saving opportunities for our patients. We believe that Benefit Verification Specialists are a key part of creating a positive experience for our patients. This is dynamic and fast-paced role that will require an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, knowledge of government and patient assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and perform benefit investigation.
- Obtain prior authorization for both new and existing patients in order to process patient prescription orders in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of direct work experience with Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) knowledge.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a production environment.
- Possess strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments competently, accurately and efficiently.
- Must have met or exceeded 12 months in your current role.

Education
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
