What We're Looking For:
The Component Supply Planning team is a collaborative group dedicated to navigating component shortages and managing Strategic Inventory (STI) buffers to ensure the continuous operation and resilience of our global supply chain. The team cooperates closely with Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Direct Procurement, Supply Assurance, and our manufacturing partners.
The Supply Chain Planner II has a key role in executing our component safety stock processes. Beside standard materials planning responsibilities, you will provide comprehensive data management and coordinate regular inventory reviews to promote consistent and reliable operations. Furthermore, you are expected to participate in continuous improvement activities of materials management processes to safeguard against broader global supply disruptions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Strategic Inventory (STI): Support and actively participate in the deployment of supply chain models, partnering with global supply and procurement teams to help recommend and manage strategic inventory buffers.
- Develop Supply Schedules: Plan and develop supply schedules to keep sufficient inventory positions, supporting component allocation processes between Tier-1 supplier sites.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Regularly review inventory levels and safety stock requirements, fostering strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing partners.
- Mitigate Constraints: Apply Zebra's procedures to resolve issues and mitigate constraints impacting the supply plan, including capacity constraints, transportation issues, and component shortages.
- Monitor Operations & KPIs: Monitor open purchase orders and safety stock levels; manage data for approved inventory levels and assist in reporting key KPIs/scorecards to evaluate the health of our supply buffers.
- Escalate Shortages: Escalate component shortages within the broader supply chain organization and work collaboratively to support comprehensive mitigation plans and resolutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain strong working relationships, translating complex supply chain decisions into clear actions to confirm production and shipping schedules.
- Data & Analytics: Perform ad-hoc data analysis as needed to maintain comprehensive data management and evaluate supply chain health.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the supply chain function, proactively identifying process gaps and sharing best practices across our global teams.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required - Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field experience preferred
- Work Experience: 2+ years of experience; International Supply Chain experience in service and/or manufacturing a plus
