The Department of Computer Science (CS) and the Lee J. Styslinger Jr. College of Engineering at The University of Alabama invite applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks for candidates with research interests across all domains relevant to computer science. Candidates with research in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Software Engineering are of particular interest.
Extensive collaboration opportunities exist within the department and across campus; therefore, candidates should build upon and expand the strengths of our faculty.
Candidates with prestigious achievements in their field and exceptional national and international reputations will be eligible for consideration for significant endowment support through appointment as an Endowed Shelby Distinguished Associate Professor (https://provost.ua.edu/the-shelby-endowment-for-distinguished-faculty/). These Endowed Shelby Distinguished Associate Professor positions are one of the most prestigious honors bestowed upon faculty at The University of Alabama. Requirements
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field, demonstrate excellence in scholarly research, and show a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students.
